Upcoming Classes & Seminars
Below is a list of upcoming classes and seminars that are open to various employees of the Medical Center. Employees can register for many of these classes through Net Learning by following these instructions:
1) Click on the "Safety Training" Web site link
2) Type in your employee number
3) Click "Login"
4) Click "Enroll in Class" and change the "Through" dates at the top of the page in order to review all dates and enroll in the class you wish to attend
Safe Sitter Courses
Safe Sitter is a medically accurate baby-sitting preparation program designed for boys and girls ages 11-13. Course is held at the Education Center, Conference Room A. Cost:$30
This national program teaches sitters:
*To have fun with children
*To recognize a medical emergency and know the appropriate action to take
*Tips for handling specific ages
*Injury prevention, safety for the sitter and the children
*Rescue breathing, care of the choking child
*The business of baby-sitting

Knock-Your-Socks-Off Customer ServiceTM
It's once again time for our annual employee seminar. The presenter will be David Robey of National Seminars. Dr. Robey is a professional communicator with a doctural degress in organizational communication. To hold audience interest, Dr. Robey keeps his sense of humor and his energy and enthusiasm flowing. His seminars consistently receive exceptional praise from attendees.

Pulmonary Screenings
In honor of National Respiratory Care Week October 25-31, Saint Francis is offering free pulmonary screenings to all Saint Francis employees. There is no registration required and each screening will take less than 15 minutes.
Date: Thursday, October 28
Time: 9-11 am and 1-3 pm
Location: Old cafeteria area at Saint Francis
Free Employee Flu Shots
The Employee Influenza Vaccine Clinic will be held October 27, 28 and November 11. Please plan to visit on one of these days and receive the flu vaccine this year. The vaccine is free for all employees and volunteers. If you have a significant health issue, please check with your personal physician before receiving the vaccine on these dates.
Receiving a flu shot is not only for you, but it is also for those around you - your patients, family members and co-workers. Failure to get the vaccine is putting these people at risk.

Cost: Free to all Saint Francis employees
