Background

Carlea earned a Bachelor of Science in speech pathology at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Lafayette, La., and a Master of Science in speech pathology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wis. Carlea spent nearly twenty years in speech pathology, but, after discovering relief from back pain through Pilates for herself, she embarked on a two-year pursuit to achieve certification as a STOTT PILATES ® personal trainer. The STOTT PILATES therapeutic approach to exercise proved to be a perfect fit, combining her twenty years of classical ballet training with her clinical experience as a speech pathologist. The result is an exciting second career that allows her to continue to affect positive change in the lives of her clients. When not at Fitness Plus, Carlea enjoys spending time with her family.
