Bursitis
  • Stretch muscles before physical activity
  • Exercise to strengthen muscles
  • Take short timeouts from repetitive tasks
  • Cushion joints when possible
  • Avoid sitting for long periods
  • Practice good posture
Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Relax your grip
  • Take breaks frequently
  • Be conscious of form
  • Practice good posture
  • Keep hands warm
Osteoporosis
  • Get plenty of vitamin D and calcium
  • Add soy to your diet
  • Limit alcohol intake
  • Keep caffeine consumption moderate
  • Do not smoke
  • Investigate hormone therapy
  • Incorporate weight-bearing and strength-training exercise
Sciatica
  • Exercise on a regular basis
  • Use good upper body mechanics
  • Maintain proper posture when seated
Tennis elbow
  • Warm up and stretch
  • Review techniques
  • Straighten your wrist
  • Build wrist strength
