Spencer directly supports and collaborates with the Primary Care, Medical Specialty, Surgical Specialty, and Support Services Divisions of Saint Francis Healthcare System. He provides direction in enhancing the support structure to better serve physicians, advanced practice providers, colleagues, and the organization’s collective mission.
Spencer brings invaluable expertise in operational efficiency, patient logistics, and collaborative leadership. He plays a critical role in shaping the future of the Healthcare System, focusing on operational excellence, strategic growth, and the continued delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
In August 2024, Spencer joined Saint Francis, bringing a wealth of experience in healthcare leadership with more than 15 years of fostering team empowerment and advancing excellence in patient care. Prior to this role, Spencer was the Vice President of Operations at Mercy Hospital Springfield Communities in Springfield, Missouri, where he oversaw strategic development and the performance of medical center and clinic operations.
Spencer earned a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from Baylor University in Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Utah. He has earned certifications from the Springfield Chamber of Commerce Executive Business Leaders program and the Magic Valley Executive Chamber Leadership program. His community involvement includes serving as a Board Member of the Pat Jones YMCA and volunteering with the American Red Cross.
