Audiology
Saint Francis audiologists are licensed medical professionals who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss in children and adults. They also assess and treat other ear-related problems such as ringing in the ears (tinnitus) or positional vertigo (BPPV). Audiologists have comprehensive knowledge of the auditory and vestibular systems (inner ear) and specialized training in how to accurately prescribe, fit and adjust hearing aids.
At Saint Francis, our audiologists and ear, nose and throat (ENT) physicians work together to make sure you are receiving the best care possible. Our audiologists use a wide range of diagnostic procedures to evaluate your hearing loss and determine if a referral to an ENT physician is needed.
Treatment options for hearing loss vary depending on the type and severity of loss. If amplification is recommended, our audiologists will work with you to determine the hearing aid or other hearing assistive device that will best fit your needs.
