Saint Francis Foundation Hosts “Stuff the Truck” for Tornado Victims

Saint Francis Foundation is collecting various household and cleaning supplies for those affected by the recent tornadoes. Supplies gathered will be distributed to residents in Butler, Wayne and Perry counties in the coming weeks through Days of Caring events hosted by the foundation.

Items of interest include:

  • Household supplies – trash bags, plastic storage tubs/totes, quart and gallon-sized storage bags, duct tape, toilet paper, and paper towels
  • Cleaning supplies – disinfectant wipes, laundry detergent, hand sanitizer, dish soap
  • Miscellaneous supplies – size 2 diapers, dry dog and cat food, sunscreen, feminine products

Donated items may be dropped off at the Saint Francis Healthcare System in Cape, Entrance 8 parking lot, from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm on Tuesday, March 25. Members of the Saint Francis Foundation and Saint Francis Healthcare Facilities teams will “stuff the truck” with donated items that are collected.

“Several Saint Francis colleagues have been directly impacted by the storms, with some losing their homes and personal belongings. We are blessed to have internal support systems in place to assist our colleagues facing financial hardships due to natural disasters but want to also provide additional outreach to those communities affected. We appreciate your kindness and support to help our neighbors by donating items during this time of crisis,” said Stacy Huff, Saint Francis Foundation Executive Director.

Questions regarding donations may be directed to Laura Propst, Saint Francis Foundation Senior Development Officer, at lpropst@sfmc.net or 573-331-5791.
