Nearly 200 golfers and 48 volunteers turned out for The Friends of Saint Francis Golf Tournament on August 16. A total of $155,000 was raised this year for community efforts to feed hungry children in the area.
The tournament was located for the first time at the world-class Dalhousie Golf Club. The 4-person scramble featured skins, mulligans, hole-in-one prizes and other enhancers.
Winners of the morning championship flight were sponsored by Interior Plus. Team members included Tim Porch, Matt Porch, Blake McDowell and Todd Obergoenner. Winners of the morning “A” flight were sponsored by Coca Cola Bottling Service. Team members included Clent Pullen, Chad Cross, Merlin Pyrtle and Joe Hamilton. Winners of the morning “B” flight were sponsored by H&R Alarms, Inc. Team members included Terry Scholl, Alex Martin, Jay Moore and Vonda VanGennip.
Winners of the afternoon championship flight were sponsored by Offices Unlimited. Team members included Ken Hosea, Kent Phillips, Todd Ladd and Eli Pike. Winners of the afternoon “A” flight were sponsored by NuMotion. Team members included Britt Durham, Paul Cairns, Austin Crowe and Dr. Heidi Hunter. Winners of the afternoon “B” flight were sponsored by Bailey Law Firm, LLC. Team members included David Bailey, Dana Bailey, Kim Trimble and Mike Trimble.
