Beginning October 3, Saint Francis Healthcare System now offers convenient, virtual urgent care services for many health conditions. Patients can speak to a provider through a secure, interactive video visit on a smartphone, tablet or computer seven days a week from the comfort of their home or wherever they may be.
“Virtual urgent care services provide high-quality care at the convenience of our patients. By accessing care virtually, patients save time commuting to an appointment, forgo waiting rooms, avoid rearranging their schedules and may help avoid more costly sites of care. Many of our patients have expressed surprise at the ease and speed of these visits,” says Alex Ogburn, MBA, FACHE, Vice President of Saint Francis Medical Partners and Saint Francis Health Plans.
Adults and children can seamlessly seek care seven days a week from the same urgent care professionals they know and trust by checking in online at www.sfmc.net/virtualurgentcare. Saint Francis Healthcare System Virtual Urgent Care visits are covered by many commercial insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid.
Please note that some restrictions may apply to residents in states other than Missouri. This service is for adults and children ages two and older. Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by their guardian.
Providers will provide you with a diagnosis, personalized care plan and prescriptions if needed. Virtual urgent care is not for medical emergencies. Saint Francis offers walk-in urgent care facilities, open with extended hours during the week and on weekends throughout the region. Patients with medical emergencies may call 911 or visit their nearest emergency department.
