Using Epic’s On My Way feature, patients seeking care at Saint Francis Urgent Care locations or the Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Department can plan ahead with wait-time estimates in MyChart.
On My Way allows you to see wait times and alert staff that you are coming so they can prepare for your arrival.
In addition to lowering wait times by helping incoming patients avoid crowded waiting rooms, booking with On My Way expedites the check-in process for hospital staff by letting them know how many patients are planning to come in. Managers can then use that knowledge to ensure that beds and staffing account for the incoming patients.
All Urgent Care clinics and the Emergency Department will show approximate wait times, and at some locations we will allow the patient to “schedule” a time.
The goal is to inform patients of wait times, reduce the wait times for them, locations and hours, as well as help them choose a level of care appropriate to their needs.
